Livingston Police Department Employee Association Announce Endorsements
LIVINGSTON — The Livingston Police Department Employee Association (LPDEA) Vice President, Jason Gunderson, met with The Dugout on Thursday to announce its support and endorsement for candidates for the Livingston City Commission and City Judge.
“This is the first time our association has endorsed candidates for any seat,” Gunderson told me. “We decided we need to have our voices heard as a union, and based on participation and answers to our questionnaire, we are endorsing the candidates that we believe are willing to understand what we as members of the union and as frontline workers provide to the residents of Livingston.”
The Livingston Police Department Employee Association (LPDEA) is the recognized union for police officers and other full-time and part-time employees of the Livingston, Montana Police Department, excluding the Chief, Assistant Chief, and Communications Technical Advisor. The LPDEA represents employees for collective bargaining purposes, including negotiations over pay, benefits, and working conditions, as outlined in the city’s collective bargaining agreements with the Montana Federation of Public Employees.
